It's too much!..

Life on Mars (Test Card Girl)
Either the jaffa cakes I treated myself to earlier have greatly increased my tolerance, or That Mitchell and Webb Look was considerably funnier this week than it has been any other. I actually laughed, out loud, more than once.

(No love for the ending, though. I freely admit I'm being over-sensitive, but I've had a crush on James for ages now, and nooooooooooo! Noooooooo! That's not funny! Well, until "Sod Cancer" came up, then I have to admit I guffawed.)

The extras were excellent too.

I randomly caught that last night and the sketch with the gameshow and the weird other beings thing completely creeped me out, though in a good way like Reeves and Mortimer used to...

It's a payoff for a recurring sketch that has been going way, way, WAY too long.

On the one hand I was sort of, "oh. they're zombies". And on the other I was "YAY, ZOMBIES!"

I think between LoM and Dr Who, seeing the test card girl in a gas mask and things written on her board plunged me into "what the fuck???" mode instantly. Especially as I'd just had the tv on mute to write something down (I fail at multitasking) and that was the first thing when I was paying attention to it again O_O

Though now I curious about the build up to it...

Basically, it's the same sketch over and over, with small hints given out about The Event and how horrific it was.

btw, I was watching it I think because I was waiting for "Mongrels" to start. Have you seen that?

I am intending to watch Mongrels, but I haven't as of yet.

I've not caught them all, but the ones I have seen have been hilarious. You need to have a good awareness of British tv and humor to really appreciate it, I think.

The current British TV I'm good at winging, and I am British, so the humour shouldn't be a problem :p (although, the number of times I've rolled my eyes and said 'there's no such thing as British humour, nor a British accent' are legion.) Thanks for the rec! :D

And sorry, I'm spam commenting all over the place now, but this sketch made me howl and I think you'd appreciate it.
