I really didn't like last week's episode, which is a shame, because I usually LOVE Steve Franks' episodes, and, you know, it's Psych. But it didn't matter how much lantern hanging there was, I still found it unbelievably cringeworthy.
But this one? So far? (5 minutes in!) IS ALL AWESOME ALL THE TIME!
I not so secretly ship Lassiter/Gus (and, erm, Shawn/Lassiter/Gus, breaking my usual 'not so interested in threesomes' rule) and this episode is SO PERFECT. I love Tim O like burning, man.
Gus' open shirt and Shawn outside, and Lassiter arriving, and what this looks like and OH MY, YES.
WHY IS GUS BUYING CONDOMS, LIQUOR AND/OR GLUE? WHY DOES SHAWN NEED TO KNOW?
I kind of love that these pairings aren't working so well. It's a little weird that, as working together goes, Gus and Lassiter do considerably better than Shawn and Jules.
YES. YES. YES. CONFIRMATION OF SHAWN/GUS OTP! So what if I actually ship everyone with everyone else? I still think they're OTP.
I miss the Chief, but I do love having Henry looking fucking dapper in a suit.
DEON RICHMOND! HEEEE!
"Of course you fell for him, he was your partner..." (OH HAI THERE OBVIOUS LOVE FOR GUS.)
Dulé is an awesome, awesome tap dancer.
"That's my partner up there!" See? SEE?
I think this is the first time I've loved, loved, loved one of Saladin's solo-written episodes. He usually has Shawn say or do something so obnoxious I want to kill him, but either we had that last episode and therefore I'm more lenient this week, or he finally found his balance with Shawn.
