It has virtually no Tony & Tim action, but my favourite episode of NCIS so far has been 6.04 - Heartland. Oh man, it hits all of my television kinks. Backstory! Family reunion! Overcoming unnecessary emotional distance! Awesome father-son dynamic! Charming older man! ALSO; I really, really, really love Gibbs. Like, wow. (His grin? When he was driving? I WANTED TO SQUISH HIM AND CALL HIM MY SQUISHY AND HAVE HIM BE MY SQUISHY FOREVER AND EVER.)

So sue me, I am sentimental at heart.

I also skipped ahead and watched 6.14 - Love and War - and it is everything people say it is and more. As I was saying to trascendenza, the lengths Tony went to in order to pull Tim's pigtails were astounding. Who does that? Tony does, that's who. He spent an entire weekend setting up a fake profile with presumably enough detail to initially fool Tim into believing he was conversing with a real woman. An entire weekend flirting shamelessly. With Tim. Just because he could. Because he was 'bored'. I was very pleased by Tim's rebuttal, although I personally would have taken it a step further and really messed with Tony's head. (I can only presume he actually did but it was a little too much like text for the NCIS writers, they just couldn't get it sub enough. WHICH? THIS SHOW? It's crazy obvious with all of its subtext all the time. So that tells you what it must have been like.)

I am feeling like I actually need an NCIS icon.

Oh, I LOVE Heartland. Awww, Jackson! Also, the bit where Ziva and Tim are all OMG WE MUST TELL TONY AND ABBY RIGHT NOW is adorable.

SEE? SEEEEEE? 614 is RIDICULOUSLY slashy and INSANE. And now you can go and read Damage Over Time if you haven't already, because it is PERFECT. *hearts shetiger

I endorse this icon requirement.

Yes, exactly! I mean, pulling a prank at the office where it's visible to other people or making fun of Tim during work is one thing, but spending hours and hours of his off time to create this elaborate ruse for which he probably had to do *extensive research*? (Because you know Tim would have realized something was fishy right away if the 'woman' he was flirting with used the wrong game terminology or whatnot, so Tony must have had to look all that information up.) That's something else entirely. CALLED BEING IN LOVE WITH TIM.

You know he'd been planning to do that for aaaaages. Just had to wait for the right weekend to spring it all. oh, Tony. *noogies him*

He thinks he's so smooth, when in reality, he is the very definition of an in-denial schoolboy!

I'm also glad I read your fic, because now it has become part of my brain canon as to how things went after the incident. The show = failed to properly address this very important issue.

Hee! Yes, I really couldn't let that one go, and when somebody prompted it, I jumped all over writing it. (And then the seventh season opener! Old married couple!)

I have heard about those episodes but I am trying SO hard to watch them in order. I've only just seen McGee's second appearance where Tony had been missing him and used any excuse to see him again and that excuse just happened to involve Tim using big words and typing with his big hands whilst Tony grills him about his sex life with Abby. Tony has been totally obsessed with Tim since the start.

I am also contemplating getting a NCIS icon but I haven't seen enough episodes yet. *strolls off twirly an imaginary moustache*

I don't really ship anyone on that show, I just adore the group dynamic and take turns loving almost every main character to pieces. But yeah, "Heartland" was fantastic and full of adorable, and "Love and War" made me wonder if the writers weren't either a) reading a shit-tonne of fanfic, or b) secretly writing a bunch of fic themselves. The lengths to which Tony went in attempting to pwn McGee were nothing short of completely obsessive. XD
