NCIS (Tony Grinning Somewhat Warily)
Episode 5.14 of NCIS is strange anyway, because it's dredging up a situation that occured half a season before, it's told quite a bit in flashbacks, and it basically suggests Jenny Shepard is a murderer, but the thrillingly weird part is when Fornell asks Tim whether his relationship with Tony is professional, and Tim flashes to:

a) A very quick shot of Tony and Tim staring at each other as Tim is shirtless.
b) Tony calling Tim an array of endearments (or. you know. insults.)
c) Tim and Tony engaging in full-body contact fisticuffs.
d) Them sprawled in a suggestive manner. Tim on top.

At which point Tim kind of chokes and says "yeah, it's very professional, yeah."

Really, show? Really? Subtlety is just not your strong point at all. And I love you for it. ♥

You've seen the one where Tony pretends to be a hot gamer chick online so he can flirt with Tim can mess with Tim?

No. Which season is this?

I have missed so many episodes of this show. I've just worked my way through S4, I'm more than halfway through S5, I have S6 to go... I'm all up to date on S7. I saw 1, 2 and 3 years ago, so I need to reacquaint myself.

614 Love and War, la la la.
5th-Dec-2009 06:20 pm (UTC)
I still love that you can do that.

And now I am sad I won't be getting there for, oh, days at least, but also thinking I may just break continuity again and skip ahead (I recently went back to see McGee's first episode which the internet lied and said was the episode before he first appeared --- as a slightly annoying question, do you know when Tim appears again after 'Sub Rosa'?)

ALSO. When I was younger, I used to watch Hocus Pocus whenever it was on television, because I love, love, loved Jason Marsden, who was a short little dude with a great voice. He voiced Thackery Binx in cat form. And I remember the boy who played the human version of Thackery to be beautiful (at the time I was kind of annoyed it was not Jason, but, y'know, kid was cute.) I was kind of AGOG the other day when I was perving researching Sean Murray and lo and behold --- COLLISION.

111 is what you want. Eye Spy. After that he turns up in 118 and from then on in every episode.

I never saw Hocus Pocus until after I knew Sean as Tim. And now I am very much going to the special hell because screencaps of Sean as Thackery even before I'd seen the film? Totally inspiring for my underage Tim porn. GOING. TO. HELL. (To be sliiiiiiightly fair to me, I did originally think he was 16 when he shot it, but turns out...no.)

Oh wow. My mind totally substituted Tim in, like, every episode of S1... because I had no idea he was in it so little. He was such a great addition to the team.

Also; haaaaah! And now I'll pretend I never saw you say that :p ;) Even though curiosity killed the Loz. Huh.

By the by, I am now watching 5.15 and the whole beginning of this episode is Tim and Tony antagonistically flirting (with a bit of Ziva thrown in. Isortofnotreallybutpretendingtonydidn'texistshipzivaandtimtogetherumsorry!) And it is good.

He has such a pretty mouth, Loz. *dies*

I didn't watch any of the non-McGee eps until I'd finished everything else. Oh, McGee, you are so awesome.

Season 5 really is the Season of Love as I declared it when first watching. *draws hearts around boys* ItisokayIwillnotkillyouanddismemberyourbodyjustyet, manyshipsarevalid *repeats mantra to self*</strike)

It's...last season, so sixth season. (Holy crap, are they on their seventh season currently? Yes, they are.) There was a run of a some really good eps in the middle of last season, particularly for the Tim/Tony angle. (I wasn't even thinking about Tim/Tony really until last season; I mean, I'm pretty sure the main slash pairing in the fandom--not that I follow the fandom--is still Tony/Gibbs.)

Ooh, thank you. This knowledges pleases me. I have a lot to look forward to.

I shipped them ages and ages ago, but then no one else seemed to, so I forgot about how much I enjoyed them together.

Then, recently, catwalksalone has been fannishly enthused and it has resparked my love.

Well, you know, it's another show that's a bit orgi-tastic. though the only thing that's managed to make me write fic for it was the episode I mentioned above. (How could I not??)

I know! That is utterly unparseable any way other than HI, TONY IS MY BOYFRIEND! Not least because the clip from Stakeout (the fighting one) is where it cuts and CLEARLY they had sex right after that. (I mean, it's so obvious I wrote a fic about it.) I checked with TB about the whole 'very professional' thing and he totally agreed with me. *chinhands*

I honestly cannot think we were meant to interpret it in any other way, because, you know, a) --- if it were meant to just be about how mean DiNozzo could be, we would not have had that fleeting, though suggestive a) shot. But then to escalate to clearly inappropriate touching and bodily contact? I am kind of surprised they didn't add the 'he had me at 'howdy'' line. It was THAT OBVIOUS. And not at all negated by Tony's haunting romance with Jeanne.

My gosh! I have got to see this show!

There are many things to like about the show. Like any other it has good episodes and bad episodes, but I really love the characters and its level of continuity is pretty darn good in the middle seasons.

I watched 7 episodes last... er... this morning. The show is fairly impressive, characters who are well rounded and that you find yourself wanting to watch, even if you're not sure how you feel about them, the plots aren't that bad either but so far, it's the characters who carry the show.

McGeek's first appearance! I was fairly sleep deprived and delerious at this point and despite the fact it may have been 6/7 in the morning, I squeed like John Barrowman did when he was kissed by David Tennant. I love his attitude, his geekiness and he's so super awesome in a computer skillz kinda way.

The thing that had me squeeing though, was the whole McGee/DiNozzo relationship, right from the get go. There was eye-contact and DiNozzo teasing which slowly became flirting and McGee not backing down even when Gibbs gets right in his face and Gibbs is scary man! And when Abby is trying to explain about the nozzle saying it is 'bi', but Tony is still thinking about Tim and answers that 'no, I don't think so' sounding really disappointed he doesn't think Tim is bi... *deep breath and tries to contain squee*

There is no way I am going to be able to resist watching the rest of this show but I can't watch it without seeing slash everywhere! Seriously! Gibbs may be the straightest man alive yet I still see slashy moments between him and DiNozzo and McGee and even DUCKY!!! (I love Ducky!)

And Abby! Abby is so hot and so cute and I love the fact Abby/Tim is canon even if they do split up later and I can so see Tony and Abby fighting over Tim even if they both insist that they only want to be friends with him...

*rushes off to watch more episodes*

but one more squee at Tony being speechless because Tim inferred he got a tattoo on his butt. GUH!

:D :D :D

I started watching years ago casually; whenever it was on, I would want to see it. But up here we don't get the station it airs on in Australia, so I have been deprived the past two years --- until I decided to acquire it.

I LOVE McGee/DiNozzo. Their dynamic just makes me go eeeee! And the show is so fanservicey with it, too.

Oh, man, why have I not seen this episode? That's the problem with just catching random episodes on the air.

I also recommend the Tony-masquerading-as-a-woman ep because, homg, you know Tony was only typing with one hand throughout the whole thing.
7th-Dec-2009 07:23 am (UTC)
I just watched that episode yesterday and WORD. HEE! I wonder how deep exactly their conversations went, especially given the trouble Tony went to (and once again, who does that just for mild teasing? Tony is crazy with how much effort he puts into pulling Tim's pigtails.)

Fornell is hardly one to talk, considering how much time he likes to spend in that elevator with Gibbs.

Gibbs/Fornell are my OTP.
