OMG. THIS EPISODE WAS WRITTEN BY ANDY AND RODAY, WHICH MEANS IT HAS TO BE FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC.
... and we already have proof with the level of continuity with earlier episodes, which is so awesome.
I love Gus times infinity, and how much do I appreciate that they let him be earnest?
And he's trying hard to be ridiculous, but oddly failing and he knows it. Oh, man.
One of my favourite things about these characters is how, unlike in every other show ever, any form of exertion is TORTUROUS. The heavy breathing! The pained faces! It's always hilarious.
The music in this episode is brilliant.
Angry Shawn. Actual genuine emotion from Shawn. \o/
Er. Those photos are freaking adorable. Until the last one. But still!
Lassiter and Jules' disappointment is spectacular. Don't doubt him, guys.
... Jimmi Simpson's character is deliberately coded as gay, right? I mean, he's over-the-top ridiculous in all kinds of ways, but he's also undeniably gay. Right?
Holy shit this episode is ridiculously good. And I'm tearing up at Psych again. I think it's official; Roday needs to co-write every episode from now on.
ALLY SHEEDY? AWESOME.
There is no way this Yin Yang thing is over. I can only conclude that Andy and Roday are freaking evil. I can totally see an episode next season with her orchestrating murder behind prison bars. (Also? I am wondering how many pages got cut so that we could have the appearance of a quick resolution here, because you just know Andy ran to 90 minutes or something.) The pacing in this episode is way, way off.
Pretty much totally in love with the movie reference. I did not know that the 'how do you like them apples' thing was from Good Will Hunting. Futurama, you once more disappoint and yet enthrall me with references I do not get. And Psych, you trick me into thinking you're making a Futurama reference.
N'awww, Roday is understandably a Shawn/Jules shipper, but I've always felt Andy shied away from making those obligatory Shawn/Jules references in his episodes, so I wonder how he felt about this scene, because it's --- it's superfluous. Sweet, but superfluous. I mean, it would have been wonderful if there had been other Shawn/Jules scenes in the ep (and maybe there were in the pages and pages that undoubtedly got cut), but as it stands, it's just been crowbarred in there. Luckily, Maggie's a damn fine actress and I love her interplay with Roday. Plus, I am now going to attribute Lassiter's speech and Jules' speech to Roday. I don't care if that's not true. They are similar, and he is the linking factor between those episodes.
HAHAHAHA. SO WAS NOT EXPECTING GUS. KIND OF LOVE THEM FOR THAT INSANELY!!!
... the Psych-out? Holy fucking hell. TIM. Gyrating. He actually does not have a bad singing voice.
I'm not sure I can wait until Winter for new episodes of the show of GLEE. I will have to write a lot so it doesn't seem like it was gone. And there will be webisodes, won't there?
