4 and a half minutes in; Lassiter is as obsessed with pineapple as Shawn is. In "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing", he had one in his grocery bag. Now he has a pineapple smoothie. This is getting awesome.
And at 10.16, we have the best line in anything, ever.
"Gus almost fainted when we ran into Ralph Macchio at a Del Taco."
"For the record, he was not working there."
... "That's right, it's real, feel free to drink it in." = Considering the fact we ended on Lassiter's reaction shot, I'm going to assume Shawn's talking to him. Huh.
"2 days to fulfill 20 years of fantasies." *stares at Gus' shorts, comments on his clothes*
"Do you know what they do on those tables, Shawn? They massage men. Big, hairy men."
"I only use these hands to touch myself." HA. HAHAHA. SHAWN CAN HELP YOU OUT THERE, GUS. I am really surprised the network let that one go to air. Surprised, but ultimately thankful.
RALPH MACCHIO AGAIN. (Just for those who didn't remember he was the Karate Kid, so they could laugh at that joke in a belayed fashion.) And callback to previous episode. AWESOME. ALSO ANDY BERMAN FOR THE WIN. EEEEE. ♥ ♥ ♥
Lassiter shouting "get on your knees" is like the hottest thing ever. And his legs really are so very long.
RESOURCEFUL!GUS MAKES A RARE APPEARANCE. The way Roday said that was brilliant.
This entire episode, Lassiter's looked pleased to see Shawn (for what I presume are somewhat nefarious reasons.) I find this unutterably adorable. And he's just kind of giving Shawn this little victorious smile, and I swear Tim Omundson has the best smile in the world.
"Make note of the date and time that I, Carlton Lassiter, actually shut Shawn Spencer's cavernous piehole." OMG. OMG. The relish. And he referred to himself in the third person. LMFAO.
And Shawn makes a witty 80s reference retort that only one other person would ever get. HAHAHAHA. Especially amusing because Lassiter looks totally hot with that hair. This is also, tangentially, another reference to The Karate Kid because Joyce Hyser's character is referred to as looking like that eponymous hero. I think Josh Bycel should win some kind of award for his skillz.
I kind of love Shawn for doing that for Henry, omg. Henry just looks so pleased. I have a love of Shawn and Henry's father-son relationship. Like, really. The happy moments between those two make me so very, very gleeful. Their development from adversarial estranged men to being all caring and hanging out and proud of each other is actually my favourite thing about the show.
And now the first thing Shawn does is look for Gus' shorts. Hee.
OMG. GUS DID IT. SHAWN TOLD HIM TO USE A JAMAICAN ACCENT AND HE DID. HAHAHAHAHA. I may die of laughter.
Shawn and Jules flirting; so cute. Eeee. God, it's so easy to ship everyone on this show.
Uhm. Shawn kept the little badge Lassie made him. Huh again.
So they've almost been murdered, and what does Shawn do? He waves, like an excitable schoolchild seeing a friend. Hahahaha.
QUEEN. MOTHERFUCKING QUEEN. MY FAVOURITE BAND EVER. IN ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SHOWS. AND SUDDENLY I AM A ZOMBIE BECAUSE THIS IS TOO AWESOME. (And, okay, so it's "We Are the Champions", which is severely overused, especially in regards to sport, but, omg.)
Henry looked proud. Eek. EEEK.
OMG, and the Psych-out is a-may-yay-zing. Those guys can actually harmonise really well. I mean, until Roday goes psycho.
Okay, so, the reason I love Psych so much is it's funny, and clever, and referential, and full of homoerotic jokes, and has father-son bonding, and always, always makes me happy. The happy bit is important.
