Why are you not all saying, "hey, Loz, you like crime procedurals, silliness and antagonistic buddies, you might like ...... [Psych]" or, "hey, Loz, you like fourth wall humour and sweet unconventional romances, you might like...... [Stranger than Fiction]" or, "hey, Loz, you like portrayals of dysfunctional families, puns and meta narration, you might like...... [Arrested Development]" all the time? All of these things I am missing out on because no one's telling me to watch them.
Shawn and Gus? AWESOME. The eye-rolling! The attempted manipulation! The badinage! Gus is all disapproving and 'God, why do I put up with him?' and Shawn is all, 'we are best friends for life! I kind of love having him be all growly because it means I get to be all funny and bouncy and pretend I am taking him for granted, when really we both know we'll always need each other.'
I loved Dulé Hill in The West Wing and he is SO GREAT in Psych. Also, I really like James Roday. He makes Shawn (who could get very annoying very quickly) likeable. Also? Timothy Omundson? Love! And, and, there's an episode with a title that plays on Shaun of the Dead later on in the series.
Seriously. You need to be telling me about these things.
