Ice cream castles in the air...

I was feeling pretty shit last night, so I went searching for my Doctor Who discs for the last series and watched John Simm being goofy. If there's one thing the world needs more of, it's John Simm being goofy. But then maybe it wouldn't be quite so special. I really do love his acting. I love that he can seem completely different in each of his roles because he uses movement as well as voice and mannerisms to really create a character. It's almost never John Simm playing Cal, or Sam, or The Master. It's just Cal, or Sam, or The Master. I love that. That's my very favourite kind of actor --- the one who reinvents themself for the part.
