Two of my favourite shows of all time are Canadian (Corner Gas and due South.) I also adore Twitch City. The Canadian shows I've seen have all been good. I think Canada produces much better television than Australia does, and we have very similar situations regarding US and UK imports and lack of funding.
I admit, I'm not really an expert, I'm mostly just in it for the mild cheddar, cream cheese and cottage cheese, but I love it so much.

It's my icon disease. I love interestingly framed/coloured minimalistic icons. I always try to make striking but simple icons.
I'm more into jazz singers; Ella, Billie, Frank than, say, acid or Belgian jazz, but I love jazz music very much. I haven't listened lately (been on an 80s New Wave kick) and maybe I should.
Even though I don't write it a whole lot, (because as a writer, I'm really more of a naturalist), a side of Life on Mars that fascinated me was the aspects of "real" and "unreal". From an aesthetic point of view I adore the questions raised in LoM about reality being what we make it.
