Title: They Love Each Other Really
Rating: G
Word Count: 100 words! Drabble!
Fandom: Life on Mars
Notes: Gene and Sam in a scene together. Drabbles own my soul. No spoilers whatsoever again.

“Once you figure out your place in the world, Sam, you will realise it’s as the muck on my shoe.”

Sam felt that Gene was competitive.

“There’ll be no escaping the inevitable truth that you’re a great big tosser.”

Very competitive.

“And you can try, and you can run, but you will always fail.”

Not just competitive, but kind of nasty too.

“Gene?”

“What?”

“Could you just shut up for a bit? Trying to concentrate. It doesn’t help when you’re babbling on a mile a minute.”

Babble! Now that was a good word. He had the letters.

“Double-word-score!”

“Sod off.”
