I got no hugs today. I did get thwacked across the head by a playful boy. One of the kids, who is strikingly adorable, called me "Laura" instead of Miss Brown - because she'd heard my supervising teacher Sue call me this. It was... strikingly adorable! I didn't correct her this time. I was actually wondering whether I should be a Miss Laura - but I think Brown is actually easier to remember and say. And here is where having a dashingly common, plain as muck name is a good thing, not a bad.
This is not a new notion, but I really do wish I had eyes in the back of my head.
