When the northwest wind blows...

The hardest part of teaching for me is the planning. Without the planning, there'd be no teaching. It takes so much thought and I often find we only get through half of what I plan for anyway. I've spent the whole of today staring at a blank screen, typing haphazardly, rifling through resources and trying to sort through my muddled aspirations.

I'm like that with everything, of course. I've never been the type to plan things all that well. I need to school myself in the habit of figuring out what I'm going to do before I do it, as opposed to my usual improvisation. Not that I'm not good at improvisation, just that it's best to have some kind of set idea. Less stressful, at the very least.
