P.S - I love you...

Perception is a funny thing, especially on this place I like to call the webosphere.

There are so many ways to misinterpret comments, or to misrepresent yourself through comments. I can't tell you the number of times I've had to engage in a conversation revolving around the phrase "I think we're confusing each other here," or "No, this isn't what I am saying." And I'm not even someone who generally courts controversy.

People have a history of miscommunication. It's even easier to entangle yourself in it when someone can't see the expression on your face, or the tone of your voice. The number of times I've been entirely facetious and had someone think I was serious... well, the proceeds would fund a five-star resort on Antarctica.

Are there any specific times this has happened to you? How did you deal with the situation? Was it worth all the fuss?

The quest has been thwarted - AGAIN!

For a long time, I have wanted purple hair. A beautiful bluish purple. But I was too scared to go permanent to do it. Finally, I decided, I shall fear no more! I shall dye it permanently! I shall not quake in the face of adversity! Practicum is over, Purple is here to stay!

And what do I find?

The particular colour I had set my sights on has been ... discontinued.

WOE and DESPAIR!

No perfect purple for me. The next best thing is still so darned red. I've been red. Many times. Red and I are old comrades. I wanted to taste the sweet delight of pur-ple!

I kind of promise this is it for tonight...
