I have managed to reduce my chicken burger collection by two. \o/

In other news, I am this close to ragequitting Merlin, which is not something I ever thought I'd say. I also think I'm giving up on Happy Endings, because I've given it two and a bit seasons and I can honestly say I've only loved six out of thirty something episodes.

I've been filling in my erstwhile-Parks and Rec time with Go On, which I like considerably more than Happy Endings (but nowhere near as much as Parks and Rec.)

Finally, school has been incredibly stressful.

I hate the current Merlin storyline. Just last series, Merlin writers, you put Gwen under the influence of magic when Lancelot showed up because you couldn't conceive of her cheating on Arthur in any other way, and even then she had doubts. How do you get from that to this?

At this point, I'm firmly convinced the only actual writer working on the show is Howard Overman and all the other episodes are dictated by chickens scratching in the sand. For so many reasons.

They're not even trying anymore and it's so sad. The cheap trick of killing off a main character, but not a MAIN character, who just so happens to be one of the severely limited POC on the show. The cheap trick of enchanting Gwen, again, and in such a failing tell-not-show way (one second she's all "I will not fall for this" and literally the scene later she has?) The rehash of the Morgana storyline. The vilification of all women. No complex motivations for any character excepting Merlin or Arthur. Gaius taking his stupidity up to 11.

Yeah. I think, if I don't like next episode, that's it. Me and this show are doneski.

I enjoy Go On (or at least I did when I was in a country where I knew how to watch it), mostly because of John Cho.

My first tweet about the show was the very shallow "John Cho is dreamy" :D I like the diverse cast and character acting.

I love the idea of you having a chicken burger collection. "And here's one from the early 70s..."

I'm sorry about Merlin which I must admit to having given up on after the first couple of episodes.

I like Go On.

I'm sorry about school. You must be heading to your summer break though, right?

I have stuck through bad and worse for Merlin, but I don't think I can do it any longer. And it upsets me, because I still like the characters! I hate the fact they're never allowed to grow or adapt, but I like their basic structure. Merlin/Arthur is still one of my OTPs. The show has just been fairly irredeemable this series.

Summer break in three and a half weeks! YEAH!

Have you watched Fringe? I LOVE it!

I have not! I've heard so many conflicting reports about it. Do you think I'd like it?

I don't know. They take so many interesting and exciting risks with the world, characters and plot. Chemistry between 3 main characters is superb. Everything's been turned on its head several times. There are a few too many monster-of-the-week episodes, but even they are pretty good. Takes a satisfyingly long time to reveal what's really going on but you can tell that the writers knew what they were doing from the start.

If you don't love it by the start of the second series you're probably never going to.

I gave up on the show two seasons ago because I couldn't deal with it anymore. I usually pretend that there is only series one.

Yup. I get that. And I think I will do that from now on. And pretend all the scenes I love from later years are bonus extras.
