The saga of the hair has concluded... for now...

Life on Mars (Annie thinks)
I no longer have orange hair, yay for me. Now I'm a far more natural-looking blonde. But, you know what? I look much better with my real haircolour.

What do your family and friends think? I'm told that blonde is one of the most difficult colours to judge for yourself.

I've never been blonde, not even partially which is only remarkable in the sense that my hair has been at least partially every other colour imaginable. *g*

You never had to bleach it to get it one of the other colours? I had to do that for mine. Me & peroxide Malfoyesque blonde= no. XD

Nope, never... other than the bit of peroxide that's sometimes found in other colours. The natural curl in my hair makes it quite porous so it sucked up colour quite readily... sometimes too readily. *g*

They don't mind it!

Hee :D I usually go redder. Then there was the time I was purple and black (I miss that.)

I kind of missed part one of the saga but I'm glad you're no longer orange. This would be weird.

Thank you :)

Hmm. Are you a warm blonde now, or a cool (ash) blonde? The undertones could make all the difference.

I'm a brunette-with-red-highlights like yourself, and the one time I 'attempted' blondeness, I tried on an ash-blonde wig and was astonished to discover that it looked rather good. But sadly I'm far too cowardly (blonde = peroxide!!) to go any further than that. (Why don't salons have wigs in stock so that you can safely try on a colour before committing yourself to a dye job? Just sayin'.)

I applaud your double courage in taking the initial plunge at home AND bravely going to get the orange corrected professionally. It can't have been easy. Did you get scolded by the colourist, or did s/he take mercy?

Now, of course, I'm dyeing (ha) to see what the new you looks like, but since I know you like your privacy, will try to be content with peroxided!birthday!Simm instead

I'm slightly warmer than an ash blonde, but essentially an ash blonde. Not super peroxided, but, uh, definitely blonde and not light brown.

The colourists (there were three!) were all sympathetic and sweetheartish, which made the experience bearable.

Perhaps in a few days! I was smart enough not to allow any pictures taken when it was orange, however. Blackmail material? NO. Noooooo.

Wah, I missed the orange. What shade of blonde are you?

Ash blonde, now, but slightly warmer than that, because they overlaid it so as not to damage my hair further.

Isn't it always the way.

I once got a red that looked natural and fabulous on me, but it weirded me out a lot. Now if it goes colors it goes COLORS.

80% of the time, I'd rather just stick with dk brn.

Though, you know, with your "crazy" hair (not the word I'd use, but), I bet blonde looks pretty cool.

(I mean, 80% of the time, it's a mistake of some sort.)

My hair isn't so ridiculous anymore, it's grown out so that I can, at last, get it looking neat(ish).
