Day 09 - Best scene ever

There aren't any hearts that are big enough, guys. I've waxed lyrical on why I love this scene too many times, but, guh. Everything about it is perfection. (Of course, context is everything.)

Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving
It took me a very long time to get into Veronica Mars, and at the very end, I came away feeling that it could have been better, but for a while there I really loved it. I'm usually very good at predicting what I won't like and therefore avoid watching. It's far more likely that I think I will like a show and end up realising it's not for me.

Day 11 - A show that disappointed you
There are a lot that I could put here. I suspect I must be insanely picky. I think, though, that I'll go with Heroes, because it had some amazing actors, initially a fascinating concept, some brilliant writing in the first series, and then it just went downhill at an incredible hurtling speed. I think this is the danger of coming up with fantastic initial ideas but having no idea where to take them, and somehow getting a television show commissioned.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
That's such a great scene.

I have huge issues with the final season of Veronica Mars(as well as the final two eps of S2) but I still LOVED that show a lot.

Hee, I couldn't even get through the first season of Heroes. I know I quit before Eccleston came on because people kept trying to get me to continue to watch because of his appearances. I just didn't care, I always hated the writing. The cast was good, though.

I never felt Kring ever had that many ideas. I'm sure Fuller was more creative on the series but Kring has always struck me as a hack.

I like Fuller's episodes of Heroes the most, and he had great ideas. Kring was always hacky, I agree.

In all honestly, I probably would have given Heroes more of a shot but I was biased against Kring before it began. I actually watched Crossing Jordan(solely for Miguel Ferrer who has been one of my faves since Twin Peaks) and I hated that show. Watched a lot of it for Miguel and I liked some of the other cast but overall, I just LOATHED it!;)

What was really a shame about to me about Heroes was that it wasted one of the few diverse, multicultural casts on American network TV.

I also watched Crossing Jordan, and, SAME. I loved the cast apart from Hennessey, but, man, that show was bad.

And yes, yes, yes. Heroes' track record with characters of colour was abysmal.

Hee, it's funny what we'll watch sometimes, what we will put ourselves through! Like you with Peep Show. I know I have watched many crap movies and TV series for favourite actors. Once, I was watching Crossing Jordan while visiting my parents, and I was bitching about the show, and my mom asked me why I watched it if I hated it so much. I think my answer was something to the effect of "because I am fangirl, and it's what we do".

Even though I quit it early on, I often read the recaps and through my friends and my flist I usually knew what happened on the show. I experienced second-hand anger for how the characters of colour were treated! I probably would have gotten quite upset if I actually had watched the show.:P

Your icon reminds me that I still have not watched the last season of Psych. And as it's back in July, I need to catch up with it.

A number of people have chosen Heroes as the show that disappointed them for this meme. I totally agree. I loved so many things about the first season (Hiro & Nathan!), but then it's like they disregarded everything that was developed throughout the season and started from scratch again in the second season. Then adding all those new characters we didn't care about, only to not know what to do with them, then kill them off or make them disappear. And don't even get me started about the characters of color. So frustrating. I've never been so happy to see a show cancelled that I've previously loved. :\

There are many, many shows that disappointed me at some point, but I find it hard to remember there was a time I really adored Heroes, and looked forward to watching it, and it was only when I was rereading my journal I came across an entry when I was all 'BEST SHOW EVER!' It's sad.
