Writing this list scared me a little bit...

OH. MY. GOD.

I LOVE You Rang M'Lord. It's possibly my favourite of all the Croft/Perry shows. Now I adore you even more than I did before *g* ♥

And I believe if I were to make a list such as this, it may well be longer...*iz embarrassed*

EEEEE!

I am so glad to find someone who feels the same.

There's just so much that's great about it. Like the political commentary, and the levels of continuity (which is not what I was expecting from a Croft/Perry show, which tend more to reset from the beginning in most ways), and CISSY, whom I would turn gay for, because she's fabulous. I love the silly puns and cheeky innuendo and Jim Twelvetrees being a pompous, but deep down kindhearted ass, and Henry, and OH. It's very enjoyable. Not a great idea to mainline, because it repeats itself far too much. But wonderful all the same.

P.S: curious minds want to know, what's your list? ;)
19th-Oct-2009 06:56 am (UTC)
Cissy is ♥. I love, love, love innuendo anyway, so this show is just perfection for me. But they're so good at pathos, too. Henry makes me laugh like a hyena. *g*

List? Seeing as it's you. *nod nod*

Shows I am currently watching because they're currently airing:
Doc Martin
Merlin
Have I Got News For You
Never Mind the Buzzcocks
Kevin McCloud's Grand Tour
Deadliest Catch
Ice Road Truckers
Strictly Come Dancing
The X Factor (see, you thought you had issues?! *g*)

Shows I am watching, or waiting to watch because I was sad enough (in some cases) to buy the DVDs:
True Blood
Twin Peaks
Wild at Heart
Born and Bred
Brass
Hi-de-Hi
The Tudors
Tin Man
Lost In Austen

I am very much waiting to see the Doctor Who specials, and in fact the new series next year. Am still debating whether or not I want to see Dollhouse, and at some point I feel I may fall prey to Supernatural...

There's probably more I've forgotten, you know.
19th-Oct-2009 07:11 am (UTC)
HEEE! Hi-de-hi! That's next on my list for acquisition.

ALSO. I FORGOT BORN AND BREAD HAS BEEN ACQUIRED!!!

And isn't Kevin McCloud wonderful? I got hooked on Grand Designs when I was in Adelaide.

Wow, quite a few shows in common, huh?
I would suggest Supernatural, but I'd also suggest you don't start at the end of the series- I started at Mystrery Spot in season 3, wasn't too lost, and filled in the holes, but starting at season 5? *is doubtful*
also:

“Wait, it’s nineteen seventy-three?” the bewildered brunet man asked, and Gene glared, crossing his arms.
“Is this going to happen every time I get a new transfer?”
Seventy three?”
Gene snarled.
“So, the eighties haven’t happened yet?”
“That would be a no,” Sam finally spoke up, and the new transfer’s lip began to wobble.
“That’s…I…Tears for Fears? The Breakfast Club? Ice House? Young Einstein? Men at Work? Star Wars? Rick Astley? Indiana Jones? Pretty in Pink? Thundercats?” Shawn Spencer took one look at Gene’s blank face before dropping to his knees and screaming, rather melodramatically, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

*angelic smile*

I pretty much know everything that's happened to date through osmosis, though. I've read articles and reaction posts --- and I get bored, okay? If I don't watch a show, I don't care about spoilers. ;)

As for the snippet - *CLAPS ENTHUSIASTICALLY*

lol I suppose, but you'll miss all of the boys manly emoting...and it really is a very nice sight.

You know what In think you would enjoy? Life. It was cancelled after two seasons, but it was a very, very cool, non-typical cop show, and from what I know about you, you like your non-typical cop chows.

The main reason I don't watch SPN is that I think the two Js can't act for nuts.

I saw the first few episodes and a couple since then and yeah, I loved it. But I haven't gone back to it yet.
18th-Oct-2009 02:03 pm (UTC)
Haha yeah, sometimes they suck...especially at the begininng of the series, and there were some doubtful moments in s4...but they are very pretty, and very codependent and Dean is very damaged and funny, so it's a win for me. I'd say Jensen is a better actor than Jared, but they both have their weak spots.

Go back. Seriously. I just watched the whole of Season One, and, wow. Really fun.

...I have decided that every fandom I'm going to write into this crossover will have a car crash or major injury at some point in their canon. This means that the Psych bit is probably during Spellingg Bee.

When I remember that it's on, Two and a Half Men makes me laugh my arse off so... *shrugs*

I don't think you watch CSI so you probably didn't see the episode that the Two and a Half Men writers penned for them called "Two and a Half Deaths." It was really entertaining:

[may well contain spoilers]

18th-Oct-2009 10:06 pm (UTC)
Hah. I saw the episode that was inspired by CSI, though. I used to watch CSI. I loved it, in fact, when it first started.
18th-Oct-2009 10:16 pm (UTC)

Ah yes, the wedding episode. *g*
18th-Oct-2009 10:08 pm (UTC)
That was very entertaining!
18th-Oct-2009 10:17 pm (UTC)

It's episode 16 of the 8th season of CSI if you have any access.
18th-Oct-2009 10:18 pm (UTC)
Okay, thanks. I think I'm set for now, but if I ever get bored...
19th-Oct-2009 12:23 am (UTC)
ooh, when are you going to get Psych? :D bet you're going to love this last episode (Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark)! :D
19th-Oct-2009 07:12 am (UTC)
I have already seen it! Reaction here :D
19th-Oct-2009 11:06 pm (UTC)
Two and a Half Men (don't judge!)

Dude, I love that show. No judgement!
20th-Oct-2009 08:06 am (UTC)
:D The closet fans are all coming out of the woodwork.

The dialogue is so great.
